The girls loved the big tour buses they used to transport the group with. It only took maybe 10-15 minutes in traffic to make it to the restaurant. They had chips and this awesome salsa set up for us. The girls even loved it and it was hot hot hot! Their bar-b-q was just as awesome! all beef no pork like in GA. The girls ate it up and has seconds and received a cookie as big as their heads for dessert! They played with the cookies while they had a meeting of what was going to happen this week and what to expect. Tessa did of course let out a big burp while it was quite but she quickly added a polite excuse me following in her sweet little voice which got a big laugh.

We were complemented after dinner on how well behaved they are. Makes a mama proud!

Tuesday~ we made it to Houston without any problems thank God! We checked in and headed to our room and waited for the girls approval of the bathroom lol. They loved it of course. We changed in to our UPSER's blue shirt and the girls dresses and sweater and headed downstairs to catch the bus for dinner at Pappas Bar-B-Q.

Pictures of the girls sleeping in their own beds at the Capri!!
We made it to Isles of Capri my first time staying at a gambling casino. We checked in and went upstairs for room inspection. The girls always look at the bathroom first to see if the tub meets their standards and it did they were ooooo and aaaaaing over the bathroom. We then headed downstairs for dinner in the hotel. We decided on the seafood buffet restaurant the girls ate free and the hostess had a fit over them and gave them both a dollar to put in their pocket! The food was excellent the girls loved the fish and shrimp, dad loved the stone crabs and mom the shrimp. I headed right to the hotel store after dinner for some benedryl I had a small reaction to shrimp I thought before but this time did fine.

The girls got to take a bath in the huge tub and they were so happy! I am so glad little things make them so happy, we are so lucky!

Dad headed down to play penny machines and came back 10.00 to the good, me I could not figure out the machines I came back empty handed!

We slept and headed out at 5 am tuesday morning knowing we had to be at the hotel in Houston by 5 pm for check in and dinner with all the other UPSER's competing.

ARE WE THERE YET?

Monday the day our trip started and a bumpy start might I add!
I had a doctor's appointment at 9 in the morning my moms cancern returning has helped me get it in high gear with my health and the dreaded appointment. Needless to say I was set up for a sonohystogram ?? and biopsy for in a couple of weeks. I then raced home so we could load up the van and go. S walked out to find the tire he filled with air the night before almost flat. After closer insection there was a chunck out of the tire so we loaded up and drove quickly to get a new one. 20 minutes later we were on the road heading for Biloxi MS our half way point to Houston Tx. We did not even make it 5 miles on the highway before are we there yet began! I could not believe it where did they even learn are we there yet? It brought back memories of yearly trips to FL with our bio crew when they were small and the constant chatter and the are we there yet!

Haitian Artwork

I love Haitian Artwork! I thought I would share some of my favorites around the house. When we had our hs our social worker could not believe all the stuff we had on the walls. It's all so beautiful and it could support an artist and his family for a couple of weeks in Haiti.
My favorite picture is the large one with Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus. The artist explained the picture at first I thought Voodoo but it represents the past present and future of Haiti. My framer also verified no voodoo! She is also an artist.

A NEW SPIRIT TODAY

I have to say after posting on my blog yesterday I had a really restless night. I was still looking at the clock at 4:30AM! I feel guilty that I have not placed the same trust in God as I did the first time and should have. How could I not see the signs he was showing me. Even in reading the girls nightly Bible story that have verses at the end he was telling me! Last nights verse was You must love the Lord you God with all your heart, all your soul, and your strength. Deuteronomy 65

I feel like it was a battle last night between God and myself wanting a sign that I was doing His will! Then I remembered the verse for a few nights ago. It was don't worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Philippians 4:6

My heart and mind are clear! I have no doubt I am doing Gods will, I have laid it all at His feet and the blessings will come!

Peanut Update

Here's some verses that help me make it through this adoption the 2nd go around. I really thought it would be easier this time but it's not. I have struggled with is this God's will or my will as I know I am not alone in thinking this after talking to others.

I have one special friend who combed her Bible for verses for me to try and understand all my feeling of doubt this time around. Thank you A! and I also have my support team including my hubby, my daughter Ash, small town girl (I keep her up talking and wake her up at all hours she keeps me sain!) and she never complains. I also have T who I feel like we have formed a really good friendship and can't wait to meet, a blessed life who I email with and talked to once (she is a real inspiration) reading her blog and 5 frozen chamorros have inspired me to home school which we will start up in just a few weeks. There is also my dear friend Zabboo who is wonderful and helping a lot of people on our group with updates. She does it because she wants to and loves helping families! There are several others that have helped along the way and I appreciate everyone's help, prayers and friendship.

Our first adoption was very different, we were involved in a church that supports Haiti in medical mission trips that's how I meet two of my favorite ladies Susan and Jane. I had a dream of wondering in a airport lost not sure where I was going and two weeks later I was on a plane for the 1st time in my 36 years. After that trip and 2 years of trips to Haiti I found my angles from a link Susan sent to me and I never looked back. I never had any doubt God was in total control but this time I just don't always have that feeling.

I read another blog the other day and a lady was explaining her feelings of is this God's will for her family and she was having a hard time trusting the Lord because if it was not the Lords will what would she do. I understand her feelings but I don't want to be like that. I want to be confident that I am doing God's will because only then do the blessing come! More to pray about!

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight."
Proverbs 3:5-6

"A man makes a plan in his heart, but God directs his path."
Proverbs 16:9

"Be doers of the word, and not hearers only…"
James 1:22
