10K in 20 Days

A blogger friend of mine is doing something so awesome!! Visit her blog and see how generous the Rockstar family truly are!!! Here.

They have donated twice to our fund once right after the earthquake and once recently to try to help Darline come home. Do they have extra money laying around NO but they are passionate about helping families grow through adoption as we are. 26 families will benefit from this campaign 10K in 20 days. We were to late to sign up and I was a little disappointed at first, then I thought God has other plans for us he has not forgotten us.

So go over and help families out. We have no extra money we still owe 13000.00 on our adoptions but we gave, you will be blessed!

Birthday Girls

We did a family birthday party at Chuck E Cheese for Meg and Tessa. We could not afford the full blown party so we just brought our own cake and got a booth and had some fun. Big brother Dustin even joined us which is a rarity, but he had fun and won the kids lots of tickets for prizes. John and Bella had lots of fun on their first trip to the Big Cheese.

Pics of the kids at Nationals

The kids had a blast all weekend, the weather was nice and we were outside all day Friday and Saturday.

Mother's Day Weekend

We spent Friday and Saturday watching the truck driving Ga Nationals at Lake Lanier Island. S placed 3rd in the Sleeper Class which to him was a big surprise. He thought he would not place this year. Two other drivers from UPS also place 1st and 2nd in there division. I know this is probably boring to some but I am so proud that my husband and all the 162 drivers from other companies take pride in being accident free and us care when driving 18 wheelers.

Cory bear

I can think of nothing worse than bury a child. My son's best friend died in a car accident Thursday.

Cory Christopher Walker, 18, of Monroe died Thursday. Funeral, 2 p.m. Saturday, Tim Stewart Funeral Home, Lawrenceville.

My son was tore up as were all the boys that hung together in their group. They have been buddies since middle school. I could barley understand his words as he told us what happen the tears just flowed.

Our family is heart broken. Cory was our other son. Always came through the door with a hug for mom and attention for all the kids. His smile was beautiful and so was his heart. S and Megan are at the funeral home right now. I am home with all the kids. Dustin my son has not left the families side since this happen. He even went to the funeral home while they made the arrangements. We will miss the funeral tomorrow as the truck driving nationals were this morning and tomorrow. Dustin will be by his side even a Pall barrier and then the healing will began(I hope).

Please pray for Cory's family during this difficult time I will try and find some pictures and upload later.

WHO'S AFRAID??

OF THE BIG BAD WOLF (HOUND)

He does look kind of scary in this picture. He was moving when I took the picture.
This dog was given to us by our Vet. Normally there is a fee for dogs adopted through the vet but I was suckered in that day and left with another dog. They told me he was a terrier mix because he could not possibly be a Irish Wolfe Hound since they are rare in this area. HAHAHAHa Boy were they surprised when he returned a year later for shots I got this well he is a Wolfe Hound mixed with maybe Giant Schnauzer.

A few more cute pics

Truck Competition

It's that time of year again. My hubby has been training with a group of guys at work every Sunday for the last 6 weeks to prepare for the trucking competition. He was going to back out and not compete this year because our finances are so tight and he will miss a few days of work to compete. I encouraged him to go for it. It only happens once a year and he really enjoys it and takes pride in being a safe driver. I took the kids up to practice this Sunday and we had our annual meal with all the team members and TnT road in the sleeper of the truck while Dad practiced the problems. John and Bella started heading to the truck also but changed their minds quickly when they figured out what was going on so they played with the other kids while the girls enjoyed the ride.
